8 April 1999: The Michigan Quality Council announced the addition of Donnelly Corp., a US supplier of automotive mirrors and mirror systems, as its newest sustaining member, according to Bill Kalmar, council director. Membership in the council consists of thirty founding members and has grown to seventeen sustaining members. “It is a privilege to be a part of the Michigan Quality Council,” said Jim Cleveland, corporate director of quality systems. “Donnelly Corp. has been committed to providing quality products to its customers for many years now. Joining the Michigan Quality Council as a sustaining member demonstrates our continuing commitment to the business and civic communities within the state.” Donnelly Corp. had 1998 sales of more than US$ 700 million.
