Flexible diamond tooling plays an important role in glass processing where controlled contact, consistent abrasive action and reliable finish quality are required across grinding, sanding, polishing and finishing operations.
DK Holdings Limited manufactures a wide range of Flexible Diamond products for glass processors, including belts, discs, hand pads and sheets. Manufactured within the company’s ISO-certified production facilities in the United Kingdom, the range has been developed to combine the cutting and polishing action of diamond with a backing material that offers both strength and flexibility.
This allows the tooling to follow the working surface more effectively than a rigid format, while maintaining controlled abrasive performance. For glass processors, that can be particularly important where edge quality, visible finish and process consistency are key production requirements.
The Flexible Diamond range is available in Electroflex and Electroplus formats. Electroflex uses DK’s recognised dot pattern, designed to provide a controlled cutting and polishing action. Electroplus features a criss-cross pattern and is often selected where a more aggressive cutting action is required, particularly for rapid stock removal applications.

DK’s Flexible Diamond Hand Pads are suitable for wet grinding and polishing edges and surfaces, with colour-coded foam backing for easy grade identification. Flexible Diamond Discs can be supplied with a variety of backing options, including QRS, self-adhesive, unbacked canvas, magnetic, M14, D-Loc, Snail-Lock and foam rubber options, depending on whether they are used on hand-held or stationary machines.
Flexible Diamond Belts are used by glass processors worldwide for wet grinding and polishing applications, including seaming and arrissing operations. The belts are available in a variety of sizes and diamond grades to suit the required stock removal, edge condition and final finish.

Rather than applying a standard product to every application, DK Holdings works with customers to review the material, machine, coolant use, grade sequence and finish requirement before recommending the most suitable tooling approach.
The company is showcasing its Flexible Diamond range during glasstec 2026 from 20th to 23rd October at Stand B24 in Hall 11. Visitors will be able to discuss Flexible Diamond Belt, disc and hand pad applications, as well as wider diamond tooling requirements for glass cutting, grinding, seaming, arrissing and finishing.
