Turkish handmade glassware maker Denizli Cam posted a consolidated net loss of TRL 147,000 (USD 110,000/EUR 87,000) for the 1H 2005, compared to a consolidated net loss of TRL 1.254 million (USD 940,000/EUR 747,000) a year earlier. Sales revenue in the 1H 2005 was TRL 15.033 million, down from TRL 16.623 million in the previous year 1H. Gross operating profit was up to TRL 3.102 million from TRL 2.313 million, net operating loss was down to TRL 0.462 million from TRL 1.789 million, and the pre-tax loss was down to TRL 0.432 million from TRL 1.381 million in the 1H 2004. Denizli Cam was set up in Denizli, western Turkey, in October 1973. It has been part of Turkish glassware and chemicals group Sisecam since February 1994. Denizli Cam is listed on the Istanbul Stock Exchange (IMKB) and holds 20% of glassware retailer Pasabahce Magazalari. (All comparisons are between 1H 2005 and 1H 2004)
