7 October 1998: Demaglass Lighting and Pharmaceutical divisions of Demaglass Ltd., one of the UK“s largest glassware manufacturers, have appointed two senior production managers to their factory in Harworth, South Yorkshire (England), the company said in a recent press release. Melvin Ness has been appointed Senior Production Manager for the lighting division, and is responsible for managing production in the fluorescent tubing, lead and soda processing departments. Martyn King joined the company as Senior Production Manager for pharmaceutical and special products. Previously a production manager for Consol Glass in Johannesburg, King has also worked for Rockware Glass in Doncaster (England).
