Bankrupt Czech glass and china makers are reportedly going to employ about two fifths of the original employees. In 2008, the Czech glass and china makers employed almost 7,000 staff, while at present there are 1,950 employees with plans to employ another 600 people in the future. Since the launch of insolvency proceedings in 2008, the companies of the groups Bohemia Crystalex Trading (BCT) and Porcela Plus now have new owners and are gradually resuming production. CZK 1 billion was generated by the sale of the production plants and further tens of million crowns have been obtained thanks to the sale of other assets and stocks.
