The Czech government has decided that a 73% stake in the utility glassware company Crystalex Novy Bor will go to Porcela Plus (Czech Republic). Porcela should pay about Kc 300 million for the stake, which has been held by the National Property Fund of the Czech Republic so far. Previously, Porcela had taken control over 17% of Crystalex. Porcela also owns the china company Karlovarsky porcelain and the hotel company Grandhotel Pupp, both of the Czech Republic. The decision made by the government has put an end to a long-term dispute over Crystalex“s privatisation between the Finance Ministry and the Ministry of Industry and Trade (see the 22 May edition of Glassonline World News).
