Chilean glass manufacturer Cristalerias de Chile reported a net profit in 1999 of Pso 19.77 billion, up 15.6% from 1998. Cristalerias said in a statement that the increase was due primarily to improved results in the glass business, Crowpla-Reicolite and Cristalchile Comunicaciones. Cristalerias saw lower operating profits in its subsidiaries Santa Rita, Ciecsa and Apoger. Consolidated operating profits last year were Pso 21.69 billion.
