Glassmaking, wine and media conglomerate Cristalerias de Chile made profits of CLP 14,237.3 million for the first nine months of 2004, up almost 400% year-on-year. Consolidated sales increased by 5.9% to CLP 133,046 million. Consolidated operating profits were up 2.9% to CLP 28,326 million. Non-operating losses declined to CLP 7,368 million from CLP 21,706 million. Cristalerias de Chile recorded non-consolidated sales of CLP 55,126 million, down 0.5% from sales of CLP 55,405 million a year earlier. Sales volumes increased by 5.9% to 196,937 tonnes.
