As of end 2008, assets of the enterprise were estimated at UAH 991.497 million, current liabilities UAH 204.994 million and accounts receivable UAH 101.621 million. The Crimean soda plant finished 2007 with a loss of UAH 1.59 million and increased net revenue by 18.83% or UAH 101 million to UAH 636.923 million as compared to 2006. The Crimean soda plant meets about 80% of the demand for soda ash on the Ukrainian market and 2.5% of demand on the world market. The plant produces soda ash of the brands A (heavy) and B (light). OstChem Germany GmbH (formerly RSJ Erste Beteiligungs GmbH of Hamburg, Germany), which is a subsidiary of OstChem Holding AH (Vienna), owns 89.99% of the shares in the Crimean soda plant. Businessman Dmytro Firtash“s Group DF holding company owns 90% of the shares in OstChem Holding AG.
