Aval Bank, one of Ukraine“s largest banks, has launched a project involving payment of wages via plastic cards at the Crimean soda plant (Krasnoperekopsk, Crimea). According to the press service of the bank, Visa cards will be used in the project. The bank plans to issue over 3,400 cards to the employees of the plant. The press service of the bank further announced that the Crimean soda plant has been one of the major clients of the bank since January 2001. As reported earlier, Aval Bank, which is one of the three leading banks on the market of plastic cards, is one of the eight largest banks in Ukraine. Its assets are valued at UAK 6.9 billion. The number of cards issued by the bank reached 500,000 in March.
