US glass treatment film producer CPFilms, Inc. has launched a new infrared rejecting windscreen film under its global LLumar brand. LLumar windscreen film“s patent-pending hybrid matrix(TM) formula of corrosion-resistant metal oxides can help reduce damage to human skin and vehicle interiors, due to harmful ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR) rays that penetrate ordinary auto glass. It is factory-guaranteed for seven years from date of installation. In test comparisons with other products, LLumar windscreen film was found to have the highest solar heat and ultraviolet rejection rates, the lowest visible light reflectance, and the strongest scratch-resistant coating. CPFilms specialises in the manufacture and marketing of dyed, coated, laminated, sputtered and metallised films for solar control, safety and decorative glass applications. The products are marketed internationally under the LLumar brand name to the commercial building market and the automotive after market. CPFilms also produces precision coated films for high technology applications in the fields of electronics, reprographics, graphics, industrial design, display technology, imaging, information storage and aerospace.
