The Canadian firm Consumers Packaging is reported to have received an order worth around C$ 40 million from a European company which has not been identified. Consumers is in the position of having to open a new plant to fill the order, and has therefore taken out a lease on an Italian glass plant currently under construction. The plant is expected to be completed by September 1997.
