Research and Markets has announced the addition of “China Sodium Carbonate Industry Report, 2008” to their offering. In recent years, the rapid expansion of sodium carbonate downstream sectors has left China in short supply of the material. Since July 2007, the country has seen a rise of nearly 30% in its export price of sodium carbonate; however, its annual export volume has experienced a negative growth trend. In the next few years, Chinese demand for sodium carbonate will rise, boosted by a rapid growth of production capacity of some downstream sectors, including glass, inorganic chemicals and household detergents. Based on the output growth of main downstream sectors, the growth of China“s demand for sodium carbonate in 2008 and 2009 is estimated in the report. Booming demand for sodium carbonate has stimulated many manufactures to expand their production capacity. Based on the production expansion projects of key Chinese sodium carbonate producers and the schedule to bring new output on line, the report estimates the capacity expansion of sodium carbonate and also predicts output of sodium carbonate in 2008-2009. Based on authoritative statistics from the National Bureau of Statistic and the General Administration of Customs, backed by the China National Chemical Information Center, the report offers an in-depth analysis of the current situation and a forecast of the development trend of the Chinese sodium carbonate industry. The report also provides information on business operations and development trends of nine key Chinese sodium carbonate manufacturers.
