The output of inorganic chemicals went up rapidly in May this year, according to the China Petrochemical Association. Products those output rising rapidly included borax (up 73.2%), calcium carbide (up 23.19%), sodium tripolyphosphate (up 16.65%), caustic soda (up 13.88%) and soda ash (up 13.14%). The first five-month total of the output of caustic soda added up to 3.2192 million tons, 9.07% more than in the same period of last year; that of soda ash was 4.0841 million tons, 9.53% more; and that of sulfuric acid was 11.4103 million tons, 10.37% more. China“s caustic soda and soda ash market was stable in May.
