The 21st China Glass exhibition will take place at the China International Exhibition Center (new venue) in Beijing on 4-7 June 2010. The event will occupy four halls, including hall W1-W4. Regular exhibitors and four national groups have already reserved their spaces or pavilions. One of the main focuses of China Glass 2010 will remain photovoltaic glass, energy saving and new glass technologies, as well as all the segments of the glass industry. In addition, as an extension of China Glass, an art glass exhibiting area will take place in one of four halls. China Glass is the only international glass exhibition sponsored and supported by all glass industry-related governmental departments and nationwide trade associations of China. Despite the global financial crisis and recession economic situation, the 20th event was successfully held in Shanghai from 13-16 May 2009, occupying four halls and two tents. Total exhibiting space increased 3.8% to 55,000 m2, compared with 53,000 m2 in 2008. A total of 836 companies, 230 of which from 23 international countries, participated in the event. Exhibiting company numbers increased by 13.6%, compared with 736 of China Glass 2008. Professional visitors to the exhibition were 43,277, from 92 countries. China Glass 2009 was set up on the theme of innovation and new trends of processed glass and photovoltaic glass. During the event, a technology seminar and symposium focused on glass melting processes, energy saving and decreasing fumes.
