Glaston Corporation“s Board of Directors has appointed Mr. Arto Metsnen, M.Sc, Mining Engineering and Mineral Processing, as the new President and CEO of Glaston Corporation. Metsnen assumed his new position on 1 September 2009. Before joining Glaston, Arto Metsnen (born 1956) worked as president and CEO at CPS Colour Group in 2005-2009. Before that, he worked as president of Sandvik Tamrock Oy (in 2003-2005), as president of Sandvik Mining and Construction“s US and Mexico region (in 2002-2003) and as president, Market Area Southern Europe and the Middle East (1998-2002). Metsnen joined Sandvik Tamrock in 1982. We highly appreciate Arto Metsnen“s extensive experience in the international engineering industry and equipment sales, which provides us with a valuable asset in today“s challenging operating environment. His predecessor, Mika Seitovirta, held a key role in the development of today“s Glaston, which focuses on glass processing technology, as well as in the implementation of the restructuring programme. Glaston is the global market leader in glass processing machines and our product range includes the industry“s leading brands, said Andreas Tallberg, Chairman of the Board of Directors.
