Addressing a conference of students at Bejaia University in the north Algerian port city, Mr. Asaad Rabrab, chairman of Cevital, a leading Algerian food processing group, said the firm would set up a glass manufacturing plant, it was reported in the El-Khabar newspaper on 29 January 2007. The plant would produce 760,000 tons a year, 60% of which will be exported to Europe, in particular to vehicle manufacturers, Mr. Asaad Rabrab said.
