11 December 1997: A new exhibition for the glass, ceramics and porcelain industries will be taking place in Bucharest, Romania, from 21-27 May 1998. Organised by Romexpo of Bucharest, the CER-Glass “98 show will cover all aspects of glass production: refractories, furnace technology, CAD, glass processing, finishing, transport and inspection equipment for the flat glass, container glass, technical and laboratory glass, optical glass and glass fibre sectors. The organisers hope to attract international interest in the fair, pointing out that there is a long-standing tradition for glass, ceramics and porcelain production in Romania, and that the market has grown steadily over the past four years. Since 1993, in fact, the value of Romanian glass and glassware exports and imports has more than doubled.
