20 November 1997: The Japanese sheet glass producer Central Glass has forecast sales of 151 billion yen and a net profit of 1.9 billion yen for the financial year to 31 March 1998. For the six months to 30 September, Central Glass reported sales totalling 73.29 billion yen, up from a year-earlier figure of 69.86 billion yen, and net earnings of 824 million yen, down from 952 million.
