2001 saw an increase in turnover of 8.82% compared to 2000 for crystal maker Calp at EUR 90.02 million. The Italian company reported a decrease in net profit of 4.56%, while gross profit was EUR 8.52 million – up by 22.88% – a consequence, said the company, of an exorbitant 51.17% taxation. The balance sheet of Calp for 2001 has been approved by the board of directors, who have decided on a gross dividend of EUR 0.11 per share, a decrease of 29%, payable as of 16 May 2002.
