2 October 1997: A joint Building Research Establishment (BRE)/RILEM symposium scheduled to be held at the BRE site just north of London, United Kingdom, from 6-7 November 1997, will bring together sealants experts from around the world. The “Durability of Building Sealants” symposium will give delegates an opportunity to hear the results of the latest research in prediction of long-term performance of building sealants and learn how these results can be best applied when selecting sealants for particular applications. The two-day symposium will summarise the current knowledge about sealant durability assessment, as well as presenting new results, and equip delegates to specify the best sealants for particular applications. According to the organisers, participants will also gain insight into the issues that sealant durability standards must address and the manner in which they should be applied.
