6 November 1997: The Bormioli Rocco group of Italy has reported turnover of ItL 800 billion in the first eight months of the year, compared with ItL 925 billion for the whole of 1996. Forecasts for the full year suggest turnover of around ItL 1,175 billion, with investment totalling between ItL 85 billion and ItL 90 billion. The group also denied reports that it has asked Italian and foreign merchant banks to prepare it for a possible stock market listing.
