Belron, the UK vehicle glass repair and replacement (VGRR) company, has chosen French treasury solution supplier XRT to provide for its cash forecasting, cash management and cash pooling requirements, XRT announced on 7 December 2005. Belron is currently implementing a business-wide cash management and communication infrastructure using XRT Globe$ and XRT Business Exchange solutions. Implementation and roll out of the XRT infrastructure is underway, and is expected to be completed during the 1Q 2006. With XRT Globe$ installed at the London-based treasury department, XRT Globe$ will be rolled out to every business unit, allowing up-to-the-minute forecasting information to be communicated via the system. With bank statements being sent via XRT Business Exchange and where necessary via Belron“s bank, information is integrated without the need to re-enter any data and cash can be pooled as necessary through the system. With more than 12,000 employees across 28 countries worldwide, Belron has a centralised treasury infrastructure based in London. Belron decided to completely review its current cash management and pooling facilities because its current system was no longer keeping pace with the demands of business. Belron owns some of the best known brands in the VGRR industry including Carglass, Autoglass, Lebeau and O“Brien.
