UK double-glazing company BAC Windows has undertaken a psychographic market report and is now reassessing its marketing strategy. BAC Windows commissioned Amherst Direct Marketing to draw up the report in order to better understand where people go in search of double glazing and what they want from the firm. The company is planning to re-focus its activity in an attempt to increase response rates. Marketing strategy previously involved mailshots, telemarketing and personal visits from BAC representatives. BAC is now planning to test the effect of its mailings before deciding what other media to use. “We are going to take full advantage of this research to shape our strategy,” said BAC marketing manager Laurence Briggs.
