Azerbaijan president Ilham Aliyev attended the opening ceremony for the new Inter Glass JSC plant in Baku on 24 December 2008. A total of USD 52 million has been invested for the complete repair of the plant“s infrastructure and communications and the installation of modern equipment from Italy between 2004-2008. Raw material is delivered from Gandja and Gazakh in Azerbaijan and imported from Ukraine and Russia. The plant will produce glass for Azerbaijan and for export to Russia and Georgia.
