Asahi Taiwan, a thin film transistor-liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) glass substrate producer, reported that it has decided to invest T$ 4 billion in factory building expansion. The company“s new plant is expected to start operation in 2003. Asahi Taiwan reported that the factory building expansion is the second-phase of its upgrading project, and that it is to further invest T$ 2 billion to carry out the third phase.
