As per an announcement made on 11 November 2009, Asahi Glass has made the following change in personnel, to have effect as of 1 January 2010. Hiroyuki Watanabe, presently GM of Technology Planning, will take over the position of group leader of the Technology Management Group, office of the president, and deputy GM of the Group Strategy Office.
