Latrobe Brewing Company of the United States recently announced the signing of a five-year agreement by which Anchor Glass Container Corp. will continue to supply all of the brewery“s glass packaging, including the distinctive green glass bottles for its flagship Rolling Rock beer brand. The agreement was made after a study of various potential bottle-makers. Anchor“s South Connellsville, Pennsylvania, US, plant has been the exclusive supplier of Rolling Rock bottles since the mid-1980s. According to the Latrobe announcement, Anchor“s contract, which was up at the end of this year, will be extended to 31 December 2002.
