Turkish glass packaging manufacturer Anadolu Cam Sanayii is buying the Kirishi Glass Plant in the St. Petersburg region. It has already signed an agreement to acquire the facility, which produces 95,000 metric tons of glass a year, for up to USD 20 million. The Kirishi plant is a promising glass packaging producer, with good potential to expand. Experts say the market for its products is growing rapidly, along with the food market. As of now, the market is dominated by six or seven major players, but four of them at the most are expected to survive two-three years from now.
