Danish packaging company Amcor Flexibles plans to close its division Amcor Flexibles Otto Nielsen in the town of Lyngby, Denmark, in the spring of 2002, cutting some 150 jobs. In September 2001 Amcor Flexibles said it would close four of its plants in Europe and move the production to other European plants. Amcor Flexibles Otto Nielsen“s production will be moved to Amcor Flexibles Raackmann in the town of Horsens and to other Amcor Flexibles divisions in Europe. Amcor Flexibles was set up in June 2001 through a merger of the European flexible packaging operations of Australian company Amcor Ltd., which holds 67%, Danish food, sugar and ingredients group Danisco, with 25%, and Finland“s Akerlund & Rausing with 8.0%.
