19 March 1998: A soda ash project planned by Arabian Mining and Manufacturing (AMAM) in Jubail, Saudi Arabia, has reportedly been cancelled following a decision by the Board of directors to liquidate the company. ANSAC, which represents 6 US soda ash producers, increased its activities on the Saudi Arabian market following the assignment of the project. It now holds 80% of the market.
