Alu-Pro, leader in the production of aluminium profiles for IG units, has announced that it will carry out a price realignment of its entire product range for all international markets. This price increase has been caused by the continuous increase in cost of raw materials on the London Metal Exchange – LME – the worldwide centre of global trading for metals. The increase in price, says Alu-Pro, is also caused by high energy and transport costs. The increases, which could reach 15%, will be applied as of March 2011. The branches of Alu-Pro in Italy, Denmark, Poland and Russia, manufacture almost 400 million metres of profiles and decorative spacers in aluminium for IG units. Alu-Pro is, together with Fenzi and Rolltech, an active member of the Glass Alliance, an international organization that distributes and commercializes globally all that is needed for the industrial production of IG units.
