1 July 1999: US-based Air Liquide America Corporation and American Combustion, Inc., have agreed to cooperate in the field of oxy-fuel combustion applications. In a recent company statement, Air Liquide America said the alliance will enable customers to benefit simultaneously from both company“s skills, covered by a large number of patents from both companies in the field of combustion, and that the approach will initially be put into operation in North America and extend progressively worldwide. Markets as diversified as the Iron and Steel industry, non ferrous Metallurgy, and waste incineration are involved. By promoting jointly innovative oxygen applications, Air Liquide and American Combustion said they will provide their customers with a comprehensive solution to improve productivity and reduce operating costs. The joint development of new proprietary equipment and systems is planned to complete the numerous combustion technologies already existing in both companies.
