The Glass Doctor National Auto Glass Certification course has been approved as a Registered Training Course by the Auto Glass Replacement Safety Standards (AGRSS) Council. The Glass Doctor programme, which met five AGRSS training form qualifications, is among the six registered training programmes available and is the first for a retail glass services company. These qualifications include retention systems, mechanical training, glass replacement, installation standards and procedures, as well as AGR safety issues. We are proud to be one of the first glass retailers to have a registered programme. It establishes the credibility of our programme and reinforces our commitment to AGRSS standards, said Dan Mock, vice president of Franchise Relations and Training. The four-day training programme, which takes place at the GDU Training Center in Waco, prepares auto glass shop owners and technicians to be registered for AGRSS, along with DOW and SIKA certification for adhesives application. The first National Auto Glass Certification training session was held 19-22 April. GDU National Auto Glass Certification training is conducted by the nation“s top industry leaders, with GDU Technical Manager Frank Levesque, an industry veteran with 40 years of experience, as lead instructor. He is joined by Denny Noreikas and Dale Malcolm of DOW, along with Blake Brandt and Carl Tompkins of SIKA.
