American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) Board of Directors now has a new chairman – Steve Fronek, P.E., LEED Green Associate, and vice president of Wausau Window and Wall System, part of Apogee Enterprises, Inc. For the past two years, Fronek has been AAMA“s vice chairman and a member representative for Wausau. As a leader in technologies involving the design and development of value-added glass products and services, AAMA helps our companies stay ahead of important, legislative regulations, building and energy codes, and industry standards, Fronek continues. With active involvement in AAMA“s technical committees, we gain a greater understanding of construction and specification issues. Through the association“s educational offering, we extend our reach and share our knowledge with the architectural design community. Fronek is also chairman of AAMA“s Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Test Methods Task Group, and previously served in various capacities on more than 15 AAMA committees and task groups, as well as guiding the evolution of thermal performance standards as they exist today. Fronek also represents Wausau“s membership in the U.S. Green Building Council and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory“s High-performance Building Faade Solutions“ Public Advisory Committee. Wausau Window and Wall Systems is an industry leader in engineering window and curtainwall systems for commercial and institutional construction applications.
