UK residents over the age of 18 can now purchase Google's high-tech headset
Until very recently, only US residents could buy Google Glass. But since Google announced that it is opening its beta Glass Explorer program to the UK, things have changed. This means that any UK resident over the age of 18 can now purchase Google's high-tech headset, which was first unveiled in 2012 and went on sale in the US in May this year.
The wearable computing device will cost GBP 1,000, about USD 1,700 at current exchange rates, which is USD 200 more than in the US.
In the US, the new Diane von Furstenberg "Made for Glass" collection, which features five new prescription frames and eight sets of sunglasses designed specifically for women, is now on sale. Announced earlier this month, the DVF Made for Glass collection frames and shades are now sold exclusively through online luxury retailer Net-A-Porter and Google.
