A mid-west lake home built on a lot with two small hills divided by a creek has been ‘united’ using IBP's GlassWalk™ structural glass flooring system, increasing both the visual appeal of the floor and light transmission.
IBP's GlassWalk™ structural glass flooring system utilizes laminated glass lites from 12" x 12" up to 48" x 48" in size, increasing both the visual appeal of the floor and light transmission, while reducing lead times for product fabrication in both residential and commercial applications.
The GlassWalk system can easily be installed on-site and is available in over 30 different ceramic “frit” patterns that insure a non-slip walking surface that meets the most stringent codes. Moreover, an open weave “frit” pattern can be applied to the top surface for slip resistance without an obscurity layer below, creating the feeling of “walking on air.”
The IBP Glass Block Grid System sets real glass block in a precision engineered, custom-manufactured aluminium grid. Because skilled labour is generally not required, an IBP grid system can cost less to install than traditional mortared glass block or glass pavers.
