Experience – a fundamental characteristic of any industry and companies. And this is exactly what BDF has in the mechanical, electronics and, of course, the glass industry. In this article, the Group, now made up of five companies, present its most recent developments for hollow glass manufacturers, all aimed at facilitating and improving their work and the finished products.

With more than 100 years of experience in the mechanical industry, more than 50 in the glass sector and 20 in electronics, the BDF Group is a leading manufacturer, in Europe and in the world, of IS machines, melting furnaces and forehearths, as well as for R&D concerning new technologies for the glass industry. Thanks to the presence of BDF Industries, BDF Servis, GT Glass Technologies, MCR System e TDE Macno, the BDF Group is now present on the worldwide hollow glass market as one of the few O.E.M. (Original Equipment Manufacturer) of furnaces and forehearths, feeders, IS machines and equipment. Other than products, BDF is also able to offer its clients the necessary engineering for the development of complete turnkey plants.
Innovation, technology, flexibility and being present as a partner for clients, these are the characteristics of the R&D department of the BDF Group (Automation - Melting - Forming), where new ideas able to satisfy the needs and demands of its glass sector partners are developed.

The BDF AP Pusher (Articulated Pentalateral) is the new servo-mechanism from BDF Industries, which is the answer to the problems regarding the delivery movement, making the AP Pusher completely reliable in each and every type of glass production, both low speed and in presence of unstable containers, as well as with high delivery speed for high-speed or tandem machines.
