Triulzi: washing as a fundamental part of glassmaking

With an upcoming 60th anniversary – Triulzi was founded in 1952 – the company is continuing to work following its policy – that of developing and constructing strong, reliable and innovative machinery for the glass industry. We spoke to Mariella Triulzi, Sales Manager at Triulzi, and one of the three daughters of Cesare Triulzi, who gave us some information on how they are now working for the solar industry, where needs and regulations are more complex.

Triulzi: washing as a fundamental part of glassmaking
The first questions that we all ask when visiting companies are: how are things going? Have there been any developments in the market and, of course, in your company?
Going to Triulzi, the historically-known Italian company for its washing machines for the flat glass market, was no exception. But apart from continuing to develop its standard production range, the company is now working intensely in the PV sector too – but we will come to that later!
We said historically-known, true, because this family-owned and run company has been active since its founding in 1952 – making next year an important milestone – its 60th anniversary! THE COMPANY Located to the north of Milan, the company has 40 employees, divided between the workshop and offices, and, as Mariella Triulzi – Sales Manager at the company and one of the three daughters of its founder, Cesare Triulzi – was proud to tell us, also includes a software specialist for its machinery.
Being self-sufficient means being able to supply clients with machinery in a shorter time, as well as the possibility of increasing production figures too. If we consider the time needed to construct a standard washing machine, we are speaking about a period of three months. Of course this time period increases when considering the more complex machines.
Production figures, well, these are impressive – 10,000 machines sold – which means 110-120 per year.
