Heye: leading the way in check detection

Heye’s new slogan, synonymous for its mission – We are Glass People – was introduced during the recent edition of glasstec, held in October. Visitors to the show had the possibility to discover the innovations in both the Hot End and Cold End. Highlights of Heye’s exhibits were the Ranger camera check detection system, the Simotion Compact, new features of the Heye Process Control and the HiSHIELD Plant Management System.

The Heye International HiSHIELD Ranger is a camera check detection system which is designed to fit into two stations of the rotary sections of the HiSHIELD SmartLine or to retrofit many existing starwheel machines
With a history dating back over 200 years, Heye International continuously sets global standards in container glass production technology. This results in the clearly defined mission – We are Glass People.
During the recent glasstec trade fair, Heye had on show a range of developments for both the hot- and cold end of glassmaking. The German company also hosted guests to take a plant tour to the Ardagh premises in Obernkirchen. There, a new furnace with new IS machines and five cold-end lines, equipped with the Ranger camera check detection system, were the centre of attraction. Heye International headquarters and training facility were also visited.

HiSHIELD - inspection, vision and laboratory equipment
By conducting regular surveys throughout its global customer base, Heye strives to provide the market with exactly what it requires. Accordingly, following recent results indicating that many glassmakers were strongly focussed on the cold end and, in particular, the production of reliable and safe packaging for food and beverages, the company has created HiSHIELD, a family brand for its portfolio of inspection, vision and laboratory equipment.
Heye offers a wide range of solutions, among the most successful of which is the HiSHIELD SmartLine.
