Automatic stemware production
Thanks to more than 30 years’ experience in the glass industry OCMI-OTG is, today, one of the main suppliers of sealing/stretching machines for high quality stemware products.
Main stemware manufacturers worldwide use OCMI’s SA automatic machine with 42, 48 or 60 stations to process pressed stems and bowls coming from press-blow or blow-blow machines. This machine is equipped with two transfer devices for the loading of stems and bowls and one for the unloading of finished products. These transfer devices can be adapted with options for article overturning according to the configuration of the production line.
Stem loader and machine upper chucks can be installed with a vacuum gripping system, as per customer request, in the case that stems without feet must be processed.

OCMI is very flexible in the development of lower chucks for bowls handling too. Lower chucks can also be equipped with a vacuum gripping system if moil cutting is carried out before sealing. Furthermore, lower chucks can be developed with jaws for external or internal bowl gripping, according to moil shape.
New floating chucks have been developed to automatically compensate any type of irregularity in bowl axial while disappearing grippers could reduce risks of shocks during unloading operations. The chuck’s internal structure is made to avoid too much heating concentration between parts and enable easy cleaning operations.
All operations around the machine are carri...
