This year, one of Turkey’s major glassmakers – Sisecam – celebrates an important anniversary for its Isiscam brand in the best way possible. In fact, thanks to the use of this important type of double-glazing, Turkey has saved in energy expenses both for heating and cooling.

Sisecam: saving Turkey’s energy expenses
Sisecam Group, a leading player in global glass industry celebrates 40th anniversary of its double-glazing brand Isicam. Sisecam Group, a global actor in business fields including all main areas of glass (flat glass, glassware, glass packaging and fiberglass) as well as soda and chrome compounds, introduced its leading flat glass brand Isicam in 1974 in Turkey. Thanks to use of Isicam since 1974 and improved heat insulation provided by Trakya Cam’s premium double-glazing brands Isicam Sinerji and Isicam Konfor since 1995, Turkey has saved USD 9 billion in its energy expenses for heating and cooling.
Dr. Reha Akçakaya, Executive Vice President for Flat Glass Business of Sisecam Group, stated that in 40 years 10 million households and workplaces in Turkey preferred Isicam products and said: “We take justified pride of owning the leader brand of Isicam in the market.”
Sisecam Group, Europe’s second, world’s third largest producer in glassware; Europe’s third, world’s sixth largest producer in flat glass, and Europe’s fourth, world’s fifth largest producer in glass packaging in terms of production capacity celebrates 40th anniversary of its leading double glazing brand Isicam.
