Polytype: leading the industry in flat glass decoration
BEYOND COLOURED GLASS
Polytype leads the industry in flat glass decoration by means of digital printing using UV curable inks. The Virtu Vetro system incorporates a surface preparation process of the glass prior to printing. The solution offered requires no post printing heat treatment (over or furnace) to bond the ink to the glass. With solutions ranging from manual application of the pre-treatment solution up to a full inline automated prcessing plant, mainly for interior designed panels, the products can also be used in some exterior applications.

FUTURE TRENDS: CONSUMER DEMANDS REQUIRE CUSTOM MADE PRODUCTS
The flat glass market has, in the past years, consolidated into more important branches:
automotive, building products, special applications and the solar industry.
It has now been developed strongly to be responsive to well-informed consumers’ demands and the environmental activists promoting ecological materials for use in designing the interiors, maintaining energy efficiency and its conservation at global level. These actions lead to new architectural trends, interior and exterior design concepts, consumer habits in using materials and devices able to bring both environmentally comforting and natural elements into the interiors of buildings. The usage of glass as a preference to other building materials has been maximized because of its inherent characteristics, which enable it to preserve energy while offering pleasant, unique views of the external environment.
