AREAS OF ACTIVITY
The Sipac Promise
Through the vast combined and extensive experience of its staff, SIPAC has, through years of dedication to perfection, gained a well deserved reputation as one of the world's top of the line manufacturers of conveyor systems for both glass and plastic handling lines. As a matter of fact, we are proud and are not afraid to claim that our dedication has already made us second to none. Our engineers are fully committed to working to the best of their knowledge and their ability together with you and recommend the best product handling systems that can possibly be achieved at the lowest possible costs.
We are always aware and give special attention to designs thought of with what really matters to the glassworks in mind:
The pack-to-melt index: in today's glassworks, quality comes from the hot end but it is not a secret that the pack-to-melt is achieved in the cold end. Our conveyor systems provide the most proper and adequate handling so that no losses are caused by the handling system itself: down bottles at the lehr unloaders or through the conveying line, losses for glass abuse; or constantly backed up lines that never seem to be able to clear and sometimes even force you to have to dump a batch and thus throw down the drain all the effort and dedication by your team back at the hot end, sounds familiar?
The quality of the glass: although it is true that cold ends do not improve the quality of the glass, poor bottle handling does have an adverse affect on the overall quality of the containers. Our designs and control systems reduce all unnecessary glass-to-glass impact or flow with containers rotating and rubbing against each other. Our material selection calls for the most glass-friendly and gentle low friction materials for all surfaces in contact with the glass so that nothing can scratch the glass sealing surface, body or bottom bearing surface. Our state-of-the-art flow control system provides us with positive constantly updated control of the flow of the ware according to the status of the production line and condition of the inspection; packing and labeling equipment. This control allows us to slow down and stop chains; or speed up and maintain proper spacing once the equipment down stream re-starts; or automatically divert the flow to the running inspection loops or legs; also allowing for individual customized adjustments from a central control console to fine tune the operation to each specific job, that can then be stored to be recalled at the touch of a screen for future runs.
Quick job changes: our guide rails systems and conveyor designs not do, for the most part, require any guide rail adjustments from job to job. Most of our conveyors are designed for mass flow, where chains can be run at the lowest possible speeds. For single filing sections, mass to single flow is achieved preferably with pressureless single filers where no jam or pinch points are generated. Single file sections are thus kept strictly to the minimum required where, due to the nature of the glass process, 100% inspection and/or labelling and product coding for traceability is a requirement. Where needed, these sections are provided with individual drive ends so that rejects and timing can be achieved independently from the rest of the production line.
Reduction in manning and resort activities: as a result, no baby-sitting of the production line and no standing bottles or un-jamming conveying lines, thus allowing operators to really concentrate on those activities that add value to the product and its quality.
You may rely on us for carefully designed and masterfully engineered conveyor systems with attention to every detail that really matters to contribute to increased plant efficiency and overall productivity. That is our promise and compromise, the Sipac promise.
