Hello - I am a product developer for a packaging company and I currently am working with a broker in China on the manufacturing of some custom bottles. I do not know the glass manufacturing process too well, but apparently the manufacturer has two molds they are using for the bottles, so it is not a full set. They informed me that it takes approx. 14 days to "open the mold" which i assume means, create the mold or make revisions to a mold. After that is done, they are saying it takes 30 days to create samples for me. This is because they are using only two molds rather than a full set of six. If they were to use a full set, they could produce sample in about 3 days. Can anyone please tell me why it takes 30 days to create samples when using two molds as apposed to a full set? Is there a way to cut this 30 day sample time down? Any suggestions you can give would be GREATLY appreciated. This is a rather urgent matter as we are on a tight schedule for production. Thanks! Jason

We are sourcing for wholesale suppliers of clear, straight-sided, 22 ounce glass jars with metal twist-off lids. Very similar to pickle jars. Will be used to contain viscous substances and heated on 30 watt or less electric warmers. If anyone can assist, please respond via e-mail.

I'm looking for information regarding wine bottles. I need to know why adhesive labels sometimes do not stick. I have heard that recycled as well as some cheep imported wine bottles are coated with a spray/liquid that hides scratches. I also understand that some substance is sprayed or coated to increase the burst threshold and/or help against abrasion during shipping. I'm wondering if these coatings can alter the adhesion of my labels.

I am looking for more of a specific type of clear glass candle holders that we have. There are 2 glass pieces: one cylinder and another (slightly smaller in diameter) cylinder with a lip so that the lipped cylinder fits directly inside the other. They are designed so that you can print a design on vellum paper and put it between the panes of glass so that it won't ignite. I've looked online everywhere and can't find anything. If this sounds familiar and you can point me in the right direction, please do.
