We apply a heat activative primer to the glass then bond fabric to the glass. Our problem is after our bonding process we have to scrape off the excessive primer. We currently use a rasor blade that is approx. 1" wide to scrape off the excessive primer. When doing so we are scratching the glass thus creating a lot of scrap. Is there a better method? We only scrape off about 1/4" of excess primer. Do you know of somewhere I can get rasor blades 1/4" wide? Is there anything I can use to hide the scratches? Is there a easy way to repair the scratches? We tried polish but it is difficult and time consuming.

We broke one of the 3 glass globes that go to a chandelier-type hanging lamp. The globes are frosted in what I believe is called a satin finish, and the finish is plain (no pictures or initials). The bottom opening has an interior diameter of 1 1/2 inches. The top opening has an interior diameter of 3 5/8 inches, and the globe height (including the base) is 5 5/8 inches. The globe circumference appears to be about 18 1/2 inches.

I'm looking for some help/guidence regarding the usage of Cerium Oxide as an automotive glass polish. I own a Merc E220D, the windshield of which has been stained/etched by a chemical solution. The solution might be diluted hydrochloric acid/Automotive Battery water. As a solution to the current situation, I've got the windheild buffed by Detail shop Technician. The problem seemed to be solved at the end of the process. But after a while when I was travelling on a rainy day, the wiper could not clear the windsheild as the water formed a film on it and it was damn difficult to drive when raining. So I contacted the same technician and he told me that the problem could be solved by polishing the windsheild with the Cerium Oxide powder. But I'm reluctant to take any chance at this stage and wanted to seek an experts advise on whether the Cerium oxide would solve the problem, if so how to go about using the same to rectify the following. Hope some one would respond to my q!
