Hello! I'm not a glassproducer, but I started a small candle making business that I use old second hand punch cups and old snack set cups to put the wax in. I'm now concerned that they may not be able to withstand the heat from a candle and may break and injure someone or cause damage. How can I tell if they will do this or if they won't? We used to pay 50 cents per jar, but now the only place we can find them wants to sell them for triple that. And we would have to buy $2,500 at a time. We are a small business and aren't able to do that much at one time. We are also looking for pint and half pint jars. They need to be clear in color. I have some drink glasses, I guess they are called tumblers. They were my great grandpa's, I know that they are at least 30 years old - thats how long ago he died. they are clear with pictures of old coins on them with the dates of the rare coins, some are in gold some in black. I am looking for the brandname of (or any information regarding) a clear transparent drinking/juice glass I have that is iridescent and has a series of horizontal squarish/oval indentations (rather like bricks) from top to bottom. This glass was bought in the late 1960's and there is no marking on it. Sounds stupid but any basic solution to magnetise or polarise the window, or something that will form an antistatic film on the surface, or whatever, just to stop the fog to clog onto the windows. Can somebody tell me about the Vello way of tubedrawing. I know it's a horizontal way of drawing just like the Danner proces. Although Danner doesn't come down as vertical as Vello why are the problems with bow with the Vello way so much bigger?
And why is the Danner technic not used that much if there are less problems with it, or am I wrong?
