I am a Swedish architect looking for a glass screen wall solution related to an ongoing project (upgrading of a six-storey office buiding of about 7.500 square meters).
The purpose of the wall is to project (from behind) logos and names of the hosted firms for advertising and orientation.
The screen wall will be roughly 3 m wide and 20 m high and positioned 0,5-0,6 m away from the exterior wall fixed on a supporting structure, preferrably of aluminium. I anticipate as material for the screen a kind of partly blasted glass, thick enough to bear its own load.
I am looking for info/details on:
1 - suitable materials for the screen wall
2 - the complete structure including screen, supporting structure and projection facilities, if anybody know some similar projects

When I was I Vegas I went to a tint shop to see how thinks are going in USA. There was one thing they used I never heart off, they used a kind off glue for the dotmatrix on the rearwindow and it dit look oke but I had never the time to see the result when the window was dry.

I am looking for the large green thick glass bottle that was sometimes used in the 60's and 70's as a terrerium or just a container for dried flowers. I was given some glass to panel in the front of my deck, unfortunately we were unable to do it for some months and the glass was stacked in our garage.? When we installed the glass there was a 'white bloom' in the sheets of glass and no matter how we try to clean it the marks will not come off.

Some weeks ago the national association of packaging in Italy, CONAI, asked me to write a research on the glass "ready for oven" that means the kind of glass that is ready to be sent to the glassworks.
In the past months I had done a survey for an environmental association, FISE Assoambiente, on the recovery of paper and glass, and in that occasion I had the possibility to contact FEVE, the European Federation for packaging glass, that gave me some tables of statistics referring to the production, demand, recovery and recycling of glass in Western Europe.
What I'm asking of You all is to advice me how to reach more informations about the topic I'm interested in, but as far as the non-european Nations are concerned, of whom I don't have any data that can help in enrich my survey.
If some of You could dispose of that statistics or reports I would very grateful if they can give it to me and my organization.

I am looking for information on a type of bullet-proof glass I saw on tv a few years ago. The show aired on either the "Learning Channel" or "Discovery". It was a very unique type of bullet-proof glass, in that it need not be thick to stop close range hi-powered assults and that it was very light. The glass 'mushroomed' around the impact, sending the force sideways, instead of straight ahead. Thank you for and help
