We ship terrariums - beautiful, sealed environments full of living plants - all over New England. We generally use clear glass containers from 2 to 6 gallon capacity. The openings must be at least three inches in diameter and be able to be sealed tightly. A height to width ratio of 1:1 is ideal but some variation is acceptable if the vessel is especially interesting or attractive. We are always in the market for new glassware designes. If anyone out there can help, we would love to hear from you.

I am doing research that requires placing thin layers of metalic gold, platinum, and palladium on glass and/or ceramics. What I am looking for are for recipes for the paint/finish that is used for(1) the gold lettering and trim on coffee mugs, etc. (2) or used on hand blown glass decorative objects. I believe the finish goes on like a paint, but heat in the flame or furnace reduces the chemicals in the finish to a metal film on the surface.

I want to buy some second hand machines for edging flat glass in different shapes, but because of my bad English I dont know the difference between edging, bevelling and grinding.
I am also interested in machines for connecting glass with glass, metal, plastic etc. using some special glue (whose name I dont know) and ultra-violet rays (perhaps). If I intend to edge flat glass for tables in different shapes and straight-line shape, can I do it with only one machine (and what kind of machine)?

While tinting a 2-door Subaru, we noticed a 1-1/2" scratch on the interior side of one of the back-side windows. I'ts not deep, but just enough to catch my fingernail. It really makes for a bad tint job, but it just isn't enough to justify replacing the window. I need to either fill or polish out this scratch. I have heard of cerium oxide being used to polish extremely light scratches, but will it work here? Is there something stronger that we could use with satisfactory results?
