I have recently sourced old osler items, a 15 light ceiling chandelier, 7 light table chandelier and a round table with a glass base and hanging crystals. The person I bought them from claims it is osler but there is no mark and I don't know how and where to look. Can send photographs and if you guide me can check the marks also. Looking for a hollow glass egg that is about 10 - 12 inches tall. The egg was thin glass in two pieces and were popular in the 50's to preserve flowers. You put fresh cut flowers in the bottom of the egg and put the top of the egg on and the flowers would stay fresh for days or even a couple of weeks. I managed to break my mother's egg that was over 50 years old and can't find another one to replace it with. email me and I can show you a picture of the egg in action.

Hi. Since many manufacturers are no longer available to ask, how do we find out if there is lead or toxic metals in old dishes or in the paint used on the dishes & serving pieces?
